Two pieces of truly upsetting news out of Hollywood today, one extremely sad and the other devastating (I’ll let you decide which is which).
Firstly, my Bruno is no more. Recently diagnosed with leukemia – so recently that I hadn’t even heard about it – he died Monday in LA from complications. Read this to fully comprehend my loss.
Secondly, Gywneth Paltrow has decided to come out of acting ‘retirement’. Sigh. What did I ever do to her??
(And does my blog look funny to anyone else? The typeset seems to be randomly changing font size without my say so. Weird.)

Despite Gywneth, I want to see 'Running With Scissors' it looks wacky and adorable...
Oh God, not Bruno Kirby!!!
Tears are actually welling in my eyes right now. He was freaking awesome in The Godfather Part II and When Harry Met Sally.
Freaking hell, first Chris Penn, then Vincent Schiavelli, now Bruno Kirby! It seems that all my favourite character actors are dropping like flies.
*sniffles*
...happy birthday to me....happy birthday to me....not a good day huh?
Just putting it in perspective people (and reminding Ms Belle since she ALWAYS seems to forget...sigh....) - even on the sad days there are things worth celebrating - like me. Having said that, I am well and truly over all of the Elvis craziness that happens this time of year....people - I hate to say it, but it could just be time to move on and deal.
Fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck. I, TallulahBelle-Clooney-Gyllenhaal-Clooney suck. I suck massively. I prostrate myself on the floor at Shaneequa's ever so smartly attired feet and beg her forgiveness. (I'll bring you home a ROCKING present, I promise!!)
I'm just using this opportunity to name-drop Chris Martin and chuckle.
Thank you.
RIP Bruno, you were one of the good guys.
As for Gwyneth, I'm throwing down the gauntlet. Is there anyone out there how can honestly say that they call Gwyn's smug, simpering "presence" on screen anything approaching thesp talent? It just makes me want to smack someone about the chops, but obviously she has fans so... you know who you are. Out yourselves now.
...I'm a fan of what happened to her in Seven....does that count?
Hell yeah, any movie that ends with her head in a box is alright with me . . .
OK, agreed. The head in the box finale of Seven is indeed Gwynnie's finest moment of screen time. It may well have been one of the finest moments of screen time evah if only the head (and any future reference to Mother of Moses) had stayed in the box for all time.
